As a Microsoft Recommended Partner Printix supports Universal Print by Microsoft

Would you like to know why Universal Print and the Printix Global Secure Print Management Solution are complimenting each other?

Printix is a Microsoft preferred solution available on Azure Marketplace and AppSource. The company enhances Universal Print by Microsoft for modern workplace printing and announces its support for this new Microsoft cloud print solution that organizations can use to manage their print infrastructure.

“Want to eliminate your existing print server infrastructure? Printix can help with a print cloud service for all business functions and offers easy Microsoft integration via Single Sign-On (SSO).” – Jesper Christiansen, CEO and Co-founder.

Organizations that wish to utilize Universal Print within their environment can benefit from the comprehensive cloud print management solution built into Printix, with support for all current printers and multifunction devices along with additional modern printing capabilities.

“The Printix solution enhances Universal Print delivering print management, secure print and mobile print and works with Windows, Mac and Chrome OS as well as Android and iOS/iPadOS.”- Jesper Christiansen, CEO and Co-founder.

Released for a public preview last week, Microsoft announced Universal Print, a cloud print solution that organizations can use to manage their print infrastructure. It provisions an option for a 100% Microsoft approach to removing print servers and being part of the Microsoft bundles for education and enterprise, it’s simple to access and implement.

Integration is key

In successfully partnering as a co-sell ready Microsoft ISV for several years now, Printix continues to support Microsoft and its channel partners with tightly integrated solutions. Complementing Universal Print is the latest in a long line of Microsoft integrations including Azure AD to manage user access and enable Single Sign-On, Intune to automatically deploy Printix Client, Power BI to create reports and provide valuable insight into print usage and support for Windows Virtual Desktop.

Until there are UP-enabled devices on the market, and to work with non-UP devices in the field, Microsoft has the UP Connector hosted on a VM in the cloud or on a local Windows machine. As an advanced option, Printix provides customers with direct print via Printix Client so Universal Print can be used on existing printers without using the Universal Print connector on a local machine and without an expensive server. This also keeps print local to minimize traffic and prevent conversion in the cloud.
